Frequently asked questions

What separates the NSOAE from other honor societies?

We say it often, but the NSOAE is more than just a line on a resume used to impress employers. We are a community that takes pride in our members as well as their past and future achievements. The NSOAE offers a variety of services from resume editing to academic and professional consultation. Most honor societies don’t do that. We want you to succeed, and we want to pave the way for you to get the help you need whether its in the classroom or in the workforce. We were founded on the principle that existing honor societies weren’t doing enough for their members, and we wanted to change that.

Can I lose membership in the NSOAE?

Once you have earned admission into the NSOAE, you will not have it taken away from you. While we encourage you to remain academically proficient, a slip in your grades will not have a detrimental effect on your membership in the NSOAE. However, the NSOAE does reserve the right to suspend an individual’s membership in the case of gross misconduct that violates our terms and conditions.

Will the NSOAE give out my information?

No, the NSOAE fully respects your privacy and will not give away your information to anyone.
